In my experience the risks are relatively easy to define; perhaps somewhat less easy to defend against. The larger challenge is quantifying the benefits in a way that make taking the risks worthwhile. One approach is utilizing AI to improve something you already do as opposed to creating a new KPI and then using AI to measure progress against it.

One thing that I've found helpful in addressing adding any new technology is how stable and mature are the business processes that the AI will support? Automating a broken process makes it fail faster.
