That's a tough one. Thirty years ago, I was the managing editor of a small daily newspaper and telling people their writing needed improvement was often difficult. Senior people tend to think they have a talent for writing and speaking. Point out specific things, such as not using the passive voice in writing and not leading off sentences with dependent clauses can help, but if the underlying thinking is inadequate, it's a much longer conversation. There are good books and classes on the subject, but many people lack the self awareness and/or humility to engage with these.

Toute idée, proposition doit être débattue, contre-argumentée, se faire l'avocat du diable pour acquérir la certitude que le conseil donné est le bon. Cela va bien au delà de poser le pour et le contre. L'équipe doit donc accepter que chacun des propos de chaque membre, qu'il soit senior ou stagiaire, puisse être remis en question. Ce n'est pas si difficile que cela en a l'air. Car même un jeune stagiaire peut poser la bonne question, ou démonter une hypothèse qu'on pensait acquise, en adoptant un angle de vue différent.
