Research can be unpredictable. Occasionally, there are situations when you have to pause, reassess, and decide what's a "win' for the team. Maybe the scope was too big and has become unmanageable for the resources/time allocated. Maybe the data has been inconsistent. It's disheartening, but you must remain calm and think strategically. Work smarter not harder! All data tells a story. Reassessing past findings can be a critical step as you communicate with your team and determine a path forward that makes the most sense. Lastly, don't delay communications to senior leaders. It's not fun to deliver bad news, but adjusting expectations as soon as possible allows senior leader to work with you and be part of the solution.
