If you're in person, maybe do a small physical activity at the start of your talk to get the energy up in the room. Having anchor points around your talk and a keen eye on how to utilize the format most effectively will help you be more adaptable.

In the same way inserting a relevant photo in a presentation will help the audience remember the message. It is also important to keep visuals simple to aid memorability - when it's too busy it may tend to be chaotic.

The biggest mistake I’ve seen others make ? Assuming their audience understands what they are talking about. Some people can read a paragraph and visualize the concept. Others are kinetic. One thing that helps here is having a google form to be filled by the host party focal point before any event. other than questions regarding the audience, and demographic... it can include questions about the venue and environment, technical specifications and limitations, input on previous speeches of keynotes done within the same topic, and feedback from the audience, areas of improvement... This can help you manage your expectations, and practice accordingly.
