You can have conversations with yourself about your goal. In this way, you can apply the GROW method, which is common in coaching. Write down the information. Check where you are in real life. Identify different options to achieve the goal. And finally, determine the way to achieve the goal. For each goal, determine how many stages why. Check how well it aligns with your core vision and values.

It is crucial to initiate an open dialogue. First, thoroughly evaluate your goals, ensuring they align with the strategic objectives of the organisation. Subsequently, articulate these objectives to your manager with precision, elucidating how they complement the team's mission. If the organization's Performance Management does not guide and suggest that the manager and employee should and must meet at least once a month to go through discussions about personal development plan and work performance. The individual employee can consider adopting a CEO of your career mindset and proactively arrange to have month on month check ins with their manager and seek an opportunity to discussion their career pathing together with Development plan for continuous improvement in their current responsibilities and in alignment to their career aspirations.

It's important to remember that communication is key in any professional relationship.
