What do you do if your live event employees are unhappy?

We firstly must collect the feedbacks to learn the situations. Later, we should build the action plans and deliver those to our people constantly.

Listen to their concerns: Schedule one-on-one meetings or group discussions to understand what issues are bothering them. Actively listen without judgment.

First of all I will try to make a friendly atmosphere in the organisation. Then I will find out the solutions after proper discussion of the matter. Finally I will apply some changes to make the employees happy. For example motivational activity, fun at the workplace, game & other activities. Making them feel like one family with proper dedication towards organisational growth.

If you have employee dissatisfaction there must be a reason for it. To know whats going on, the first thing is to listen to them. Do they trust you? Do they tell the whole story? Are they convinced you will solve these issues, instead of punishing them for being honest? Some managers are really toxic, so they will not solve the issues for you, they will make it even worse. End of the story is that the good employees will leave. So rely on your own power, build / regain trust and make you working environment a better place.

I feel that, the primary job of HR team is to listen to the employees & to their concerns. All employees come to HR for some information, HR person has to give that attention to the person who has come to him/her. HR job is to make employees fall in love with the company so that they can put their 100% in achieving the objective. Introducing the employee engagement activities, learn with fun- activities can make employees to release their stress and regenerate their energy. HR is to make employees comfortable in their roles after that every HOD has to become HR & continue to provide the same comfort to get more productivity. If you take care of your employees, employees will take care of the company business.

It’s important to allow your team members the opportunity to voice their concerns without fear of repercussions. Also, they need to know that you are not only hearing them out, but really listening. If action is not taken and change is not made, trust will be lost.

Encourage open communication and provide a platform for employees to express their grievances. Actively listen to their feedback without judgment.

Set aside time to understand what the issues are. Move to a safe, non-confrontational space such as going for a coffee. Build rapport, listen, and ask open-ended questions. Only then suggest solutions, and follow up at a later date to ensure progress or even resolution of the issue.

Addressing the happiness of my live event employees is crucial for the success of the event. I would start by listening to their concerns and feedback. Provide opportunities for open communication and try to understand the root causes of their dissatisfaction. I then implement changes based on their feedback where possible, and consider offering perks or incentives to boost morale. A happy team is essential for a successful event

Implementation is not easy and it takes good amount of efforts and time to bring everyone on same page. Its important the required attention is given to employees and their concerns and shared on right platform or Management meetings to put forward employees thoughts and bring about balance of thoughts which will help employee, department, managers to start with small changes, see the effects or results and if successful the same practice may continue with larger set of employees or departments.

Recognition is important ! doesn't matter small or big but simple thank you note or appreciation mail make huge difference in employee's day. It is definitely morale booster and generates natural motivation. Practice of peer to peer recognition should also be encouraged to enhance Team Work and Productivity !

I ensure the success of a live event and maintain high team morale by cultivating a positive work culture, regularly checking in on employee satisfaction, and prioritizing their happiness and well-being.

To ensure client safety, a live event must be immediately STOPPED if one of your employees is unhappy. After a 30 minute group therapy session where we get to the root cause of their unhappiness, the next logical step is to move all of the audio/video connections over by one port - this is called "cleansing the bus" and typically happens once per hour during a live event. This is why live events worldwide are limited to a duration of 59 minutes.

Immediately bring in some changes to the remaining itinerary and engage more. Use some backup programs and activities. Get more involvement from among the crowd.

There are many factors that determine satisfaction of personnel in the live event industry. Most of them are predictable. One of the most important one is job burnout. The hours can be long and don't follow a normal schedule. A tech can be working on a luncheon or breakfast which sets up really early and then a dinner which strikes really late. It is up to the person doing the scheduling to be conscious of this and try to include some breaks or light duty intermittently to reduce fatigue and burnout.

To me it has much more to do with their daily lives. It's worth to have an open dialog about their lives out of work as much as it's important for them to know about mine! Trust must be a tip priority. With trust, much can be solved, satisfaction can be placed or restored and if there is no fear to be judge, confidence is rapidly built.
