In my experience, it's critical to read, exegete and draw meaning from the audience/participants. As I learn to know them, their needs, their interests and grasp on the subject, I learn how to better serve them. When adjusting your delivery ask yourself this question: How does my delivery create value for participants? Each story, humorous interjection, engagement activity, audio visual tool or change in voice cadence needs to purposefully add value and internally recognize meaning both personally and professionally.

Allot time for each subject in your content and make sure you have a time keeper seated in a strategic position to put you in check. Another important aspect of timing, is to know what time of the day to fix a particular event.
