To understand risk as it relates to failure, we must first understand what failure in business means. A steady lack of profitability will lead to the demise of any business. There are two ways to mitigate this risk: 1) Make more money 2) Reduce expenses/overhead My personal preference is to keep my overhead as low as possible, and only spend money when I can see a direct path to increasing revenue in an amount that's greater than the amount being spent. When starting a construction business, this can mean storing tools at home instead of renting additional space, doing work yourself instead of hiring out, or getting by with cheap/old but reliable vehicles/tools.

Self awareness is most important thing to be an entrepreneur. When you are self aware, you know your strengths and weaknesses and you convert your weaknesses in strengths by connecting with right people and resources.

1. Analyse failure dispassionately 2. Risks and rewards are part and parcel of any endeavour 3. Failures happen, when risks are not identified or missed out 4. Grading of risks and mitigation measures with necessary course corrections have to be figured out 5. Identify your weaknesses which led to the failure 6. Through introspection will bring forth confidence to bounce back

Fear of failure is because of poor preparation forced by the uncertainties of the contract. Construction Professional fails mainly because of 1. Proper Resources at right time 2. Poor funds flow. 3. Wrong understanding of construction geography 4. Geo political conditions 5. Construction interfaces If more clarity is there, less fear of failure
