It stops us from being curious, creative & willing to take risks. However, the truth is, failure is normal. Everyone messes up sometimes, & when we do, it’s actually a good thing. It helps us come up with new ideas, solve problems & become better at what we do. So next time you mess up, don’t be too hard on yourself. Instead, see it as a chance to learn & improve. Because in the end, it’s not about being perfect, it’s about growing and becoming the best version of yourself.

Failure is the best opportunity to learn. But it's only an opportunity to learn if you quickly assess the situation, why something failed and what to do differently or in other words, "fast fail". And you can help others grow in the same way by providing a safe environment for them to fail and learn. Cultivate an environment for those around you to feel psychological safety in order to step out of their comfort zones to innovate and grow.

Failures don't "become a chance" for personal and professional growth; they are tools for such growth. How we use these tools determines the delta of personal and professional growth we can gain. For me, the toughest aspect is distancing myself from my failures. I've found that writing about them helps create that distance. Instead of allowing failures to marinate in my mind, seeing them take tangible form outside my mind allows me to view them from a third person's perspective. Letting my failures live outside of me switches on objectivity and facilitates my extraction of meaningful lessons. After all, we're often better at advising others than ourselves (cue Solomon's paradox).
