What do you do if your digital marketing experience is questioned in a digital strategy interview?

Always be honest, a good marketer will smell the bs a mile away. If a campaign flopped, didn't launch or just sucked in general still tell them if it's relatable and relevant. It very scary to be vulnerable, but it is always an opportunity. Hiring managers want to catch people who are on the way up in their career. Explaining both what you know, and what you are so excited to get good at with the opportunity in front of you is a good way to focus.

If my digital marketing experience is questioned, I would calmly address any concerns by highlighting my relevant skills, knowledge, and achievements. I would discuss specific campaigns I've managed, highlighting their objectives, strategies, and results. Additionally, I would showcase my understanding of digital marketing principles, such as SEO, SEM, social media marketing, content marketing, and analytics. For me one of the most important things in interviews that I faced especially early in my career is being questioned in topics that I am not an expert in, back in the day when programmatic was still new I was questioned about it and I didn't have much info aside from why you should use DV360 sometimes and not Google ads and I was a bit frustrated of that and the answer is accept that there are some info and knowledge that you don't have and not to be egotistical, be honest about what you are lacking and work on it no matter how simple or hard it is learn and improve.

Be prepared to be questioned, challenged and probed! It is an interview after all…?? I would be concerned if my experience wasn’t questioned. I want to be reassured that the interview process is thorough, well planned and inquisitive. Questions should not cause offence, embrace the opportunity to show off your experience and provide space to be questioned more…????

This is pretty normal scenario during interviews, you shall be questioned in your skills, you need to be calm and should have references of your portfolio, if you do have logical references; you should be winning the interviews you questioned of!
