The most important thing is to the understand the context one is in and also the popularity/viability or the lack thereof when it comes of critical thinking. The key for those hosting such events is to not let one's strength - critical thinking -become the serpent eating its own tail; which is to say, to not doubt oneself into disappointment, especially given the nature of the work.
