What do you do if your continuing education in analytical skills hits roadblocks?

I revise my work and ask my mentors for help in the area I feel lost, sometimes I ask google and watch YouTube videos on how to solve that problem.

Segun mi experiencia lo primero es poder determinar cual o cuales son las causas que están generando los obstáculos, esta mas que claro que cuando detectamos causas tenemos soluciones mas efectivas.

I have found some great topics discussed on some YouTube channels. LinkedIn learning, Coursera and Udemy have great resources as well. Also, engaging tutors who are skilled in that area can be the key to grasping that concept.

Don't rely on just one learning source. Explore online courses, workshops, bootcamps, or even consider enrolling in a certificate program. Textbooks, industry publications, and blogs can also offer valuable insights.

Life gets busy. Be realistic about your time commitment. Break down complex topics into smaller, manageable learning chunks that fit into your daily or weekly schedule. Consistency is key, even if it's just 30 minutes a day.

In my experience I include it in my daily tasks where they would not have been needed. For example in 2014 as an Uber driver I’d collect locations, peak times, nice and tipping clients, data points triangulate with google traffic and mobility rates to maximize my time and profit as I was using a friends car where we split the income in 3 (the car, my friend and I). As a social media manager, I’d analyze my call sheets to notice that my longest calls where international numbers and more than half of my callers are international numbers and it was part of what impacted my Average Handling Time target. I did not need to do this but as a data analytics student at the time I had adjusted my schedule to include this.

Learning styles differ. If traditional lecture-based courses aren't working, explore interactive learning platforms, hands-on projects, or even data analysis challenges and competitions. Experiment until you find an approach that sparks your interest and keeps you engaged

Remember your "why." Why are you upskilling? Visualize your career goals and how improving your analytical skills will help you achieve them. Here are some ways to seek support: 1-Find a study group or partner. 2-Seek mentorship. 3-Utilize online communities and forums. 4-Attend workshops or training programs. 5-Engage with professional networks. 6-Seek feedback. 7-Join study groups or clubs. 8-Use online learning platforms. 9-Seek counseling or coaching. 10-Be active on social media.

An accountability partner sure pays. The challenge is finding one. Perhaps, I should work on an app that does this. A support system is important and often people around us see we need help but they often are scared or concerned as to how to communicate or help in a way that the relationship is not affected. With accountability partners its objective and no strings attached. It’s like a job.
