Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) donated $15,000 to the Nancy Carson Library in North Augusta, S.C. The Nancy Carson Library, built in 1989, successfully completed its $1.8 million renovation project with the support of its friends and community partners. To bring the library into the 21st century, donors were crucial in making the transformation a reality. SRMC is pleased to collaborate with the Nancy Carson Library and offer financial support that has contributed to the modernization of the facility. Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) has been awarded the Savannah River Site Integrated Mission Completion Contract (SRS IMCC) by U.S Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management (DOE EM). SRMC comprises parent company BWX Technologies, Inc. with partners Amentum and Fluor. Critical scope covered under SRS IMCC includes, but is not limited to: Liquid Waste Stabilization/Disposition, and may include Nuclear Materials Management and Stabilization; Project Management and Support Services; Storage of Liquid Radioactive Waste; Remediation, Treatment, and Disposal of Nuclear Materials, Spent Nuclear Fuel; Remediation and Treatment of Contaminated Surface Water, Groundwater and Soils; and, Decontamination of Nuclear Facilities and Equipment. The contract has an estimated ceiling of approximately $21 billion over a 10-year ordering period.

Fifteen volunteers from SRMC volunteered for the United Way of the CSRA's Project Serve Day of Caring at the The Salvation Army: Center of Hope in Augusta, Georgia. The volunteers assisted with sorting and reorganizing the clothing and donation room, stocking the food and beverage pantry, and assembling snack bags for center residents. Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) addressed an audience of potential subcontractors and offered the playbook to small businesses wanting to do business with Savannah River Site (SRS) contractors. The annual Energy, Technology & Environmental Business Association (ETEBA) Federal Business Opportunities Forum in North Augusta, S.C., attracted people from many states interested in doing business with SRS contractors. The sold-out event afforded attendees a forum to learn about projects, opportunities, and programs, as well as access to federal contractors. Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), the liquid waste contractor at Savannah River Site (SRS), donated $10,000 to Benedict College (BC) for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) scholarships. The investment will create scholarships that can help students enroll or continue in STEM work. The donation is part of a larger Memorandum of Understanding SRMC signed with BC last year. Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), the Savannah River Site (SRS) liquid waste contractor, conducted a special small business workshop for local black-owned businesses around SRS. August is recognized as National Black Business Month and SRMC partnered with the local Greater Augusta (Ga.) Black Chamber of Commerce (GABC) to inform local black-owned small businesses about existing and upcoming business opportunities at SRS. Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) employees served meals in the Golden Harvest soup kitchen, and SRMC donated $5,000 to Golden Harvest Food Bank to provide healthy food for local families in need. The soup kitchen, called The Master’s Table, was served by volunteers from SRMC’s Representation and Inclusion Working Group, along with SRMC Chief Administrative Officer Mark Barth. Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) donated $10,000 to Denmark Technical College (DTC) for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) scholarships. SRMC President and Program Manager Dave Olson presented the check to DTC President and CEO Dr. Willie L. Todd Jr. DTC is the only historically black technical college in the state of South Carolina, focusing on technical career training, associate degrees, and a four-year college transfer program. SRMC employee Tristan Harris started out as a #Senior Capstone student at the University of South Carolina Aiken. As a student, he learned that SRMC was somewhere he wanted to have a #career. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Savannah River Site (SRS) liquid waste contractor Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) recognized the successful removal of waste from Tank 10. DOE Assistant Manager for Waste Disposition Jim Folk and SRMC Chief Operations Officer Wyatt Clark congratulated the team for achieving Preliminary Cease Waste Removal status. In honor of the achievement, a commemorative disk was placed on a tank-closure monument in the SRS H Tank Farm.
