One thing i have found to be very useful in managing communication gap within an organization is to encourage effective listening. An employee should understand the communication culture within the organization and then encourage careful communication with co-workers and be very cautious and respectful. He/She should ensure that he/she commands respect whenever he/she communicates and becomes very good in carefully selecting his/her words before communicating.

La clé en communication est avant tout de bien se conna?tre. Il est donc utile de s’intéresser à ce que notre entourage dit de nous. Faire preuve de recul pour écouter les retours qui nous sont fait et de remise en question pour ne pas, ni dénier ces retours, ces feedback, ni rentrer dans la justification. Qu’on le veuille ou non, nous dégageons une image, nous véhiculons des sensations, des impressions qui parfois nous échappent et souvent ne correspondent pas avec notre intention. être attentif aux réactions que nous provoquons est un 1er repère pour conscientiser l’écart parfois entre l’intention et le rendu. Comprendre par des tests psychologiques ce que nous dégageons pour les autres et quels sont nos comportements est essentiel.

Bien se conna?tre Soi permet de conscientiser ce que nous les autres per?oivent de nous. Plus on en apprend sur Soi, plus on en apprend sur les autres. On devient alors capable de mieux communiquer parce qu’on sait mettre en relation les situations et les émotions que nous ressentons. Et ce sont bien ces émotions qui nous font réagir, qui génèrent nos comportements. Ainsi, si l’on sait par exemple que telle personne est hyper sensible aux reproches, et qu’on a plut?t l’habitude de se montrer direct et cassant, on pourra adapter notre communication par rapport à l’autre en ajustant notre ton, en choisissant nos mots pour nous accorder sur son registre de communication, en faisant attention à factualiser pour ne pas personnifier le reproche.

Adapting Communication style to suit the situation and Receiver of the message is fundamental to effective communication. As much as the sender might be proficient with a style; but putting the Receiver into consideration and adopting a style that best convey the message better to the Receiver is skillful. Feedback mechanism makes it easy for Sender to have a better perspective of the Receiver; and the ability of the sender to adjust style connotes dexterity.

L’adaptation à l’autre est bien entendu le plus important pour bien communiquer. Il y a autant de niveaux de communication qu’il y a d’individus. Heureusement, nous avons toutes et tous des grandes tendances comportementales, liées à nos émotions, qui se regroupent et qui permettent de généraliser des canaux communs de communication. Vous devez donc vous poser systématiquement la question du canal en commen?ant par les 3 questions : ?Qui ? A qui est destiné le message ??? A un groupe de dirigeants en santé ou à des chercheurs ? ?Quoi ? Quel est le message ??? On parlera no code ou management ? ?Pour quoi ? Quel est l’objectif du message ??? Informer, sensibiliser, convaincre ? Alors vous saurez quel sera le meilleur mode de communication.
