It is hard to accept that professional development wouldn't help in coaching career growth. Having said that it is extremely important to be open for feedback from peers and clients too. Keeping in touch with some of your peers and your mentor coach helps you to be updated. Networking gives you an understanding and knowing what and how others are doing and it helps one to remain updated.

I can't imagine that professional development wouldn't impact one's coaching career growth. That said, if the professional development one's doing isn't having an impact, it's time to consider the professional development one is choosing. Speaking to some peers, a mentor coach, or your coaching training to understand what professional development they did that helped them. If you're feeling brave, get some feedback from your coaching clients regarding what they want from you and aren't currently getting.
