Some individuals are placed in managerial positions with little or no understanding of the work carried out by staff under their direction. It's the manages task to provide the support and tools for their team to accomplish the project targets. One way to achieve end goals is for the engineer to provide concise plans and reports and present to management on a pre planned schedule giving management an understanding of project status and any requirements that management can assist to meet goal.
