What do you do if your boss seems unapproachable and distant?

This situation may arise frequently if the team is distributed. If I were to face this situation, i would do couple of things immediately: set a twice a week connect to ensure we are connected, establish a convenient channel to communicate (whatsapp) at all times, share a weekly progress report along with a follow up quick call and quarterly feedback sharing call. Lastly, setting an SOS mode of connect is imp so that the manager is aware of the criticality of the issue.
