What clients did you serve, on what objectives have you delivered. What were your main successes. Top-down I would check the company, area and department objectives. To which objectives did you contribute? What are usually objectived of such an area department and role?

Think about how you presented the idea and if there’s a way to make it more appealing or relevant to current goals. You have to explain step by step the great opportunity it can be your idea and what is going to happen if you include your idea in the workplace. There is always room to improve, so instead of making a brainstorm, prepare a full presentation with all the details possible to your manager and be ready to make changes, and also, be open to hear the feedback with a positive mind.
