What do you do if your boss doesn't trust your electrical design skills?

The first thing you should do is not get defensive; it is likely that your manager doesnt see what you deal with on a day to day so it is important to keep them updated with a simple task schedule. If they don't recognize your efforts the next step should be a self assessment of yourself based on the expectations set by your management. If you feel you are meeting or exceeding these benchmarks then would come the time to have a formal sit down with your management team to find out where the disconnect between the expectations and work produced are lacking. Then you can develop with or without your management team a self development plan to improve where you or your management feel you are lacking.

Bear in mind that you came in a different company yet the same back ground ( as Electrical Designer), one thing you must learn is to accept criticism. Try to improve your flaws and get better each day. As you progress he will be amaze of what you will become.

In my Experience proper communication with your boss to understand their concerns and clarify any misunderstanding. Ask questions and actively listen to the feedback they provide. and also improve your knowledge and deliver quality works and outputs always.

It doesn't matter with his trust,if I trust my skills and abilities I can go with it but only through his feedback and leadership.. going through his valuable information about what the design needed at final look and his vision to complete the design I contribute my skills to develop a good design.

First, you should try to do the ways that your manager announced to you until they make sure that you do not fail to do your work. El conocimiento es poder solo si se comparte. Una mala practica en la que he llegado a caer es no comunicar lo que estoy haciendo. Desafíos y aprendizajes se quedan ocultos y puede dar la apariencia de que no estamos haciendo nuestro trabajo. La gente tiende a ver solo los resultados, casi nunca el camino mediante el cual se llegó al resultado. También es útil compartir los desafíos a los que nos enfrentamos porque podría ser algo a lo que alguien ya se ha enfrentado antes y ya existe una solución conocida, se puede ahorrar tiempo y crecer gracias la comunicación.

Drawings/specs don't always show what the end project requires. I'm always happy to revise and discuss a project. Explaining how Electrical safety regulations and requirements are met, whilst also maintaining an aesthetically pleasing outcome for the client.

Always having or creating a portfolio can be worth more than hours of explaining your work. A portfolio always clearly shows your ability to do work and designs. Managers who are not easily convinced by giving explanations will easily trust you when they see a successful portfolio, especially a portfolio that has been recently created in their company

Compile a portfolio showcasing your past projects, achievements, and successful designs. I was a product expert in a factory. The CEO of that company did not trust the engineers easily. There, I first tried to strengthen my weaknesses in the direction of the CEO's wishes by using other peers. When I reached the necessary skills, I tried to first gain the trust of the old managers whom the CEO trusted. such as factory manager, quality control manager, production line manager, etc. After several internal meetings with the CEO, when other managers approved my actions in the factory, the CEO also trusted me and after 3 months, I was promoted to product manager.
