What do you do if you want to use feedback to enhance your career in Educational Technology?

Actively listen, identify improvement areas, and make an action plan. Track progress to see how feedback helps you grow. Also, not all feedback is created equal. Prioritize the most impactful points. Are there recurring themes? Perhaps it highlights a specific technology skill gap or a need to refine your communication style when presenting EdTech solutions.

Don't wait for formal evaluations; ask for feedback from your colleagues, supervisors, and, if applicable, your own students. Specifically, inquire about how the educational technology projects you lead or collaborate on can be improved.

When we talk about feedback and reviews we can't only expect to hear or see the positive or pleasing but that's also a way of understanding and respecting others perspective and embrace the learning process because growth happens when we appreciate our lacks and rectify those lacks to grow and develop ourselves professionally and socially.

Feedback is looking back whereas advice is looking forward. I think of feedback not so much as a critique but rather information on how can I improve with really what is advice to do better the next time. Keeping open and deferring judgment are always key in listening for learning. Advice is like a cooking lesson for me, - what 2-3 things can I pick up that become game changers. As a chef, I always want to improve, expand and combine. Advice is an exploration of what might be, and that's where creative leadership starts.

The overall purpose of learning and teaching is moving forward with focus,passion and vision. There's always a scope of improving and staying focused. The way we assess our learners the same way we can assess ourselves as well to check our progress so that we can provide the quality education and related sessions for the seekers.

Me gustaría compartir una experiencia personal que precisamente demuestra el poder de las conexiones activas y de valor. Recientemente en una conferencia de EdTech, compartí un proyecto en el que he estado trabajando y recibí retroalimentación increíblemente valiosa. Este intercambio no solo me ofreció nuevas perspectivas para mejorar mi proyecto, sino que también me conectó con profesionales apasionados por transformar la educación. A través de esta experiencia, he iniciado una colaboración fructífera que promete abrir nuevas puertas para nuestra misión común en el campo de la tecnología educativa. One thing that I have found valuable in networking is the active Communication happens where you share your ideas,interests and innovative solutions takes place by listening to others. With networking not only we find the collaborators but also the channel partners which can effectively open horizons of mutual improvement and growth.

Solicit perspectives wide and deep—peers, mentors, the silent language of data. Let these insights be your chisel, carving out a path of continuous growth and learning.
