The experience I had was that I participated in projects that corresponded to my future so that I could get closer to my goals. Usually, the goals are divided into two parts: 1- academic and 2- industry The first one requires a certificate that by writing articles, there is a good opportunity for growth and promotion. But in the second case, with a bachelor's degree and with a lot of work in the industry, as well as writing suitable proposals in your field of work and using the experiences of those around you, you can turn that proposal into a product and gain skills and master it by working in that field. In this way, you can make great progress in research and development with creative ideas and product application in various industries.

For instance, an internship at a clean energy startup could involve assisting with developing a new battery material - invaluable experience for a future R&D engineer.

Gain experience and expand your technical skills by taking any chance to do so, especially as beginner. Take part in practical courses or internships to learn and up date your skills. Soak up as much as possible by paying attention to your more experienced collegues. Keep what is usable for you and discard strategies and processes that do not work for you. Learning from errors does not necessarly mean it have to be your own errors.

Spin a network. This will give you early bird access to new opportunities and probably some kind of guidance or mentorship. Take the chance of attending conferences, workshops and seminars to get in touch with peers and up date your knowledge. Published knowledge is always some steps behind whats already going on in your field. At conferences you will get more up to date views, even if the collegues will not share all they know, they will always keep some sort of intrinsic knowledge for themselves to prevent from being copied. Once again networks help to get some more inside views and possible collaborations and opportunities to work with.

You will encounter doubt and dismissal when proposing an innovative idea. Listen to what is being said, especially the negatives, and ask yourself what you could add to your pitch or change about the presentation that would assuage those criticisms. Before pitching your idea, put yourself into a critic's shoes and brainstorm what people would dislike or critique about your idea. Rank what would be most likely to be brought up by your audience and build that into your presentation.
