What do you do if you want to skyrocket your sales career?

Indeed, the bedrock of excelling in sales is a firm grasp of the basics. It's about honing the ability to discern what customers truly require, conveying the worth of your offerings compellingly, and concluding transactions with assurance. Dedicating time to thoroughly comprehend your product or service enhances your authority and allows you to customize your approach to resonate with individual client needs. Furthermore, cultivating active listening and empathy is indispensable, as they foster connections and trust with clients, paving the way for enduring achievement.

Building and mastering skills is important. This takes time. It is also important to be hungry for continual learning. Investing in yourself to better your skills and knowledge is important in creating a successful career in sales. Like anything worth while, it takes time and dedication.

To soar in sales your foundational sales technique needs to be paramount. Learn the solutions sale methodology and be personable. People do business with people they like! Especially when their pains and anxieties for their company can be solved with your product or service. There are other good methodologies, but solution sales is a top tier methodology IMO.

Well for me as a Filipino, I followed D LUPE. Listen , Understand , Pray and Experience Listen to the sounds of your environment.It could be norms, demand, hope, ache or even D most cherished dream of individuality in your society. Understand D uniqueness of each details.Every need and demand of each person is different as well as their satisfaction. After knowing, you may choose D field you are going to venture.Praying is part of Filipino culture which emphasizes Hope for future despite of circumstances. Pray for wisdom and strength. Sales is a life journey, no charms nor magic neither wishing upon a star can periodically determine your success. But you may feel eased when you rely on Divine intervention and constantly moving forward.

To ‘Sky Rocket’ will mean three key outputs: 1. You can sell, sell well and get noticed 2. You have a deep wider understanding of business, your market, customer needs and the sales process 3. Your ability to network, show ambition and plan your next steps

CRM systems are a game changer, but only if you get to a point of growth that calls for it. To many smaller companies invest tons of time and money into these systems too early.

Expanding your network outside of your direct industry will open up untapped opportunities. This is one of the most important things I teach to new sales people.

I believe that being able to accept constructive feedback and work on it is the secret to learning and advancing in our career. If we remain stuck on our current practices without looking for a chance to improve our current working styles or SW, we risk remaining stagnant and unable to adapt and become more efficient and better sellers.

Learn how to use your ears. No when to close! They will tell you how to sell to them, if you listen. Why and when! Confirm. Assume the sale!

Show up on time every day. That’s Step One. Don’t sit at your desk staring at CRM tools all day. Salesforce isn’t going to help you establish personal relationships with customers. Go out and meet people. You never know who you will meet and you just find yourself in the right place at the right time. Ask for referrals. Everyone knows someone. Answer the phone when it rings and return calls promptly. You never know who’s calling. Reply to texts and emails from current and prospective customers. You never know who wants to get in touch with you. Stay up to date with new products. What you don’t know can hurt you. Don’t burn bridges. Just because they said “No” today doesn’t mean they won’t say “Yes” tomorrow.
