Si siempre haces lo mismo, siempre obtendrás el mismo resultado... ?Eso es malo?... la respuesta es más compleja que un "no" o un "si": al principio "no" es malo, nos da fortaleza, nos genera confianza y nos brinda estabilidad, pero a mediano y largo tiempo "si" es malo ya que nos genera un ambiente de confort y quedanos allí no es bueno en un mundo siempre cambiante. Por ello siempre tenemos que estar a la cacería de nuevos retos que nos hagan crecer, ver las cosas de otra menera y adquirir nuevas habilidades que impulsen nuestras carreras y nuestros negocios a otro nivel.

Un fotógrafo debe leer sobre muchos temas, literatura, historia, cultura, ciencia, tecnología, etc.; también debe escuchar todo tipo de música, no solo la que le gusta; debe salir a caminar sin cámara y dedicarse a observar, a maravillarse de las cosas grandes y también de los peque?os detalles; interesarse por las personas, las diversas culturas que nos rodean, debe aprender a hablar y sobre todo a escuchar. Un fotógrafo tiene que tener algo que decir más allá de solo retratar lo que tiene al frente de la manera en que todos los demás lo hacen.

La vejez de espíritu comienza cuando ya sientes que sabes todo lo que necesitas y ya no muestras interés por seguir aprendiendo... El apredizaje continuo es la clave para mantenerse activo y listo para los retos que se nos van presentando y los llamamos retos ya que siempre son diferentes, nunca es la misma carrera, van cambiando constantemente conforme nuestra sociedad evoluciona. Por ello es mejor estar preparándonos constantemente que dedicarnos a hacer siempre lo mismo.

Considera que ampliar tu red de contactos no es solo conocer a más fotógrafos, todo lo contrario, es conocer a otros profesionales de otros rubros que tienen necesidades de imágenes y que te empujarán a la innovación en tu trabajo. La innovación suele ser fruto de una necesidad real que tienen las personas y empresas. No veas a tu red de contactos solo bajo términos de que son posibles clientes. Sin ser tus clientes ellos te pueden recomendar y sobre todo, conociéndolos bien puedes aprender de primera mano lo que necesita el mercado a nivel de fotografía.
