My views for this vary. It depends on the market scenario, how much you need the job and the growth prospects with the job. In general, when you have multiple offers, negotiation is easy because you have nothing to lose. Knowing your worth is important, and in a not so competitive market, you might want to walk away if the lower range is not met.
