Choosing the correct software is crucial when you start but it’s okay to try out two at a time. Picking one vs another is mainly based on what you plan to make (game assets? Lo mejor es elegir un programa con el que te sientas cómodo, yo empecé en este mundo del 3D gracias al editor de mundos del Warcraft 3 y la herramienta gratuita G-Max. La practica hace al maestro, practica, equivócate, investiga y aprende durante este proceso. También te recomendaría que te grabes usando programas como Streamlabs (que es gratuito), para ver tu avance y comparar tu progreso. Otra técnica es que empieces a hacer modelos de los temas que mas te gusten, si te gusta un anime supongamos Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagan, hagas un robot de la serie y luego de unos meses o un tiempo mayor, hagas el mismo modelo con todo lo que has aprendido y compares.

I self-trained as a professional being 100% self-taught. Something that helped me a lot was learning the basic fundamentals of 3D modeling and applying them in personal projects. My advice: put into practice everything you learn, don't just stick with theory. Challenge yourself by creating personal projects that interest you. It can be anything, from a character to an architectural scene. This will help you apply what you have learned and improve your skills. I consider that if we want to grow in a profession, it is essential to cultivate personal development skills.

Practice makes perfect. Stay curious. Set a goal. Get used to with common used tools. Research for fixes if you'd stucked on any part. Watch webinars and 'making of' videos. Interact with people. You are going to get more familiar with achieving any visuals via understanding the techniques. Start a personal project, don't be a perfectionists at first but just try to complete the pipeline itself and learn how things work with each other. Expanding your knowledge is going to give you more posibilities.

Remember that 3D modeling is an art, and like everything in life, art involves several areas! Physics, anatomy, animation, are more "complex" things that every 3D modeler who wants to be a generalist should study and know.
