What's in it for them? Most physicians want less paperwork and more time. Slightly further down the list is more trust and more money. Show physicians how this is obtained. Regrettably, few want to be "first". Show them how you can improve patient outcomes with less bureaucracy. Sometimes it is easier to leverage these skills with a group, rather than a select few. If your work can translate into a published finding with their name on it, the road to efficacy will be smoother and enhance long tem adoption. Follow up is one of the most important covenants of a relationship.

Think of clear communication with sound logical reasoning as being enhanced or diminished by the state of your brain function. Communicating logically and effectively with physicians is dependent on our brains ability to draw from our pre-frontal cortex in "rest and relax" mode. Clear, logical communication is significantly diminished when we are in a stress response because our brain shifts from our executive function, to our mid-brain, limbic system putting us in distress (fight or flight). Logical reasoning goes "offline" with an increased stress response. Clear, logical reasoning starts before the conversation happens when we release the adrenergic response from our muscles and breathe deeply reducing stress. Coach Greg
