It was the result of knowing where I wanted an internship, who the manager was, and creating the most efficient path to a warm recommendation. In my case, that actually came through a college professor. But I had to go to that college professor, confirm he knew the manager, lay out my case, ask for the intro and follow-up. Did it work? Yes. Just search for product teardowns and you'll find them for the most common products that the mass uses. 5) Practice interviews! Use websites like topmate.io to find potential interviewers!

You will likely be not asked hardcore questions but a few fundamental questions revolving around product management, prioritisation, user behaviour, pricing and data driven decision making is worth preparing for. If you can talk to a few Product managers, ask if they can conduct a couple of mock interviews. These will prove to be invaluable preparation. Learn a couple of prioritisation and metrics frameworks such as MoSCoW, RICE, AARRR, HEART. Prepare for scenario based questions - these are usually asked.
