We have a hydraulic system they updated to go through a plc which complicated things you had to shut one pump down switch a valve to use a standby pump well they couldn’t happen whoever programmed you had to have the bad pump running to get permissive to run standby pump ,prior to upgrade worked fine and programmer had no clue how the system worked it took a month for IT to find it in the ladder logic and found several other issues which could have resulted in a huge amount of down time to figure that out so sometimes upgrades are a bad thing
