While micromanagement is strict no but regular review is important. Depending on time intervals need to conduct in person leadership outreach activities for the cohort. Delegating every leader to be champion of various aspects and lead initiative can also be one way to deal with things , for example champion of strategy meetings, champion of fun activities, champion of physical and mental fitness & then they should organise cohort based activities.

These days most people are fairly comfortable making small talk and even having fairly deep conversations on video call. There are all sorts of groups and events where you can connect with other leaders virtually. One great place to access networking opportunities is your local Association for Talent Development (ATD) chapter. Many have virtual networking events on a regular basis. They can sometimes function like 'speed dating' where you get to know individuals in breakout rooms with guided questions. Also, look for virtual events and conferences within your industry. Take advantage of discussion sessions offered. Further the relationships you create by connecting via email or LinkedIn. In the virtual world, you get what you put in.

Take time to set clear OKR, defined on the short, medium and long time. Reevalue them each needed time, to keep them aligned with those of your team.

Then seek out mentors to fill the gaps. You must be strategic in who you select as a mentor and how you utilize your mentors. There time is valuable.

If you're a remote worker, it's completely on you to actively lead yourself & compare your latest results with previous results systematically. If you're a leader of remote workers it's easier to experiment, gather more data & improve faster.
