Lastly I'd say get used to it... just don't be tough on yourself... just like founders VCs need to be resilient. Fund raising isn't easy and you'll get a lot of rejections but all in all learn as you go.

I read the word "validity" several times. Context, source , and motivation have been also mentioned. I don't wish to fabricate a false narrative, however, I imagine the most diplomatic writing came from those accustomed to negative feedback. Unmentioned so far is a reality I have personally witnessed. After considering all possibilities to exhaustion (honest internal reflection; careful multi-sourced survey of other reputable VC actors, listing all possible reasons for psychological warfare. i.e. valuation squeeze, stake in competitor, generic self esteem stabbing of threats.) - nothing comes back as logical - "The offender may be a Jerk, or worse, a misogynist, racist, bully." I'll reiterate, this is my first hand direct observation. TY

There are plenty of businesses which are perfectly good businesses and perfectly good ideas with smart and capable founders, which are just a poor fit for venture capital. VC needs businesses with the possibility of massive growth in a short time. Is that is not the case for you there are plenty of other ways to build your businesses in a more sustainable way.
