Targeted questions serve a dual purpose. 1)They help clarify the feedback you have received, allowing you to understand the specifics of what needs improvement or change. 2) They can also be 'illuminating' for the feedback giver. If the feedback is about a data analysis or presentation, consider whether the story you are telling with your data is as clear and compelling as it should be. Remember, sometimes, what seems clear to us as data professionals may not be as clear and accessible to others. Hence, reflecting on and addressing these potential disconnects can significantly enhance the clarity and impact of our work.

Usually I would ask the question” Could you help me better understand?” Then I would begin to ask specific questions about what I wanted to know about to gain further understanding. To put the communicator at ease ( if necessary) , I would sometimes state that maybe I am looking at this the wrong way, could you help me gain a better understanding.

Siempre hemos tenido casos donde en múltiples ocasiones la persona que debe guiar los procesos de manera positiva, pierde su enfoque que puede ser por falta de información o tergiversación de la misma al recibirla. Por eso cada opinión de personas de tu confianza que te ayuden a entender la problemática es vital para que puedas con sus ideas mantener una línea de trabajo clara.
