After the requirement is finalized make sure a solid integration plan is made. Break everything into smaller parts and incrementally start integrating the changes to your system. This plan should cover a detailed roadmap, timeline, resource allocation, testing & validation, production deployment phases and a buffer period for unforeseen issues. Make sure enough time is allocated to testing and bugfixes; if any.
