I always like to test out my Zoom or Teams meeting 2 times: once at the beginning of the day (or the day before if your meeting is first thing in the morning), and once an hour before your meeting. This is to ensure any and all updates are completed and if there are any camera or audio issues, you have time to seek help fixing it.

The camera is their eye. So while in person, you can easily make eye contact my looking directly at the other person, during a video call, make sure you are looking at or near the camera, so it appears on screen that you are making eye contact. In the case of a phone interview, make sure to enunciate and project your voice. Use hand movements as you would speaking in person help you feel more comfortable with the interaction.
