In a data architect interview, the interviewer will mostly assess your critical thinking by asking questions about architectural scenarios that either the hiring team is currently facing or any specific scenarios you have encountered in the past. The main objective is to understand how you approach a problem statement, what high-level steps you take to address it, and if your solution approach is tactical or strategic. This essentially means that without understanding the situation correctly, any attempt to answer would be wrong and could create a wrong impression. Ask questions until you are clear, and when answering, always follow the STAR approach - Situation —> Task —> Action —> Result
