Everybody carries biases. You need to be critical with your own experience to ensure that it doesn't skew your research results. People don't act based on logical reasoning alone. Emotional motives might lead to research outcomes that don't appear to make any sense. When (not if) this happens, check in with yourself about what outcomes you were anticipating and why. Then go back to the answers you actually received and cross-examine what could have been the reason for users to deviate from the logical path.
