We need to acknowledge that people of different generations bring diversity to the table and recognizing and acknowledging them will be helpful. We can avoid stereotyping and assumptions in such situations and work on focusing and understanding individual perspectives and experiences.

Respect for differences is essential for accepting co- workers as they are. Hidden agendas can hinder the development of authentic and genuine connection at times when synergy is mistaken for genuine togetherness. Although synergy is beneficial for workplace cohesion and alignment for co-workers to achieve and succeed at shared objectives and goals. The enthusiasm of synergy may create a false sense of commonality, on a personal level as differences become more apparent once a goal is completed and synergy fades exposing the lack of genuine connection and concern for co-workers when there isn’t a need to work together. This happens when a false sense of we are family culture is only based on shared objectives only and not shared values.
