Be confident and clear, communicate your enthusiasm and worth with respect. And a reasonable counter-offer never hurts!

Do you see chances of promotion? Will this job be the long term option or a stepping stone to what is next. Remember - once you have the offer, you are in the driver's seat. But to think about negotiation and what to accept you must first decide what you want.

Most AI people I have met are not hardball negotiators. Again from my previous post, you can hire people to negotiate on your behalf. They do this day in and day out and are likely 100X better at this than you are.

In a hot market, you may be able to negotiate the best aspects of each offer into one package. Be sure to prioritize the items that are most important to you and be honest about why they matter and why Company B's offer is compelling.
