What do you do if delegated cybersecurity tasks are not completed successfully?

when any task is not completed or fails i personally look into the same and see the impact of the same and if impact is low , will delegate the task to team on priority to complete

First thing is to identify status of the task whether it has been initiated or not if yes then what is the reason & root cause of non completion? What are the impact of the same on business? Motivate & Help team to have the same accomplished . Keep on monitoring and once accomplished cheer up the entire team involved in accomplishment of the delegate task.

These are very well defined steps but as part of the Impact assessment, one should also review the backup options available as in case of any eventuality the options should come handy.
