From my perspective, it is a huge mistake to write such roles as QA Lead and Manager using '/' or'. These are absolutely different roles. The QA Lead, for example, is more focused on hard skills and their main tasks include coordinating technical aspects of the team, including new QA tools and processes. However, the QA Manager is responsible for managing the QA team and focuses on soft skills, collaboration within the team, and controlling current QA processes. Teamwork, high efforts of all the team members are mostly the manager stuff. The Manager in QA should kill technical LEAD in herself and delegated this option to Tech Lead.

In my experience even though I have seen many Manual tester Automation tester roles separately exists, I believe that there should be a Tester role and the tester has to use test automation to make their life easier. And specially there is a need for testers proficient in both when the teams aim for agility. Also when the tester is proficient in both he can choose the best approach based on the nature of the feature, time he has and complexity of the tests giving a high ROI for the automation suite.

In larger corporations it is essential to have both: The QA Lead focus on enablement of the team to get the job done. Mentoring on & regulating best practice & procedures with both Manual & Automation tools. This person must have exceptional communication & collaboration skills. Be resilient, agile & have a passion for QA and Testing. QA Manager is responsible for managing the QA team (resources & people) & focus on soft skills. They represent QA & collaborates with the Management of the business. They are responsible for performance management of each QA. Each QA in the team is an important part in making the Quality machine work well - the QA Manager leads the way to "Where and when", and the QA Lead leads the way in the "How".

Role of dev in test as QA is very important within the QA domain involves combining development skills with testing expertise. On the leadership side it could be either business analyst, QA lead or QA manager. The latter two require strong team management skills and one needs to learn that. For a BA one needs to be very strong in domain
