Here are the major types of public speakers: 1-Professional speaker: Someone who is paid to speak to an audience. (Eg. An actor giving a keynote address.) 2-Industry speaker: Someone who speaks to people who are in the same industry. (Eg: An engineer speaking to a group of engineers.) 3-Subject matter expert: Speakers who are recognized as experts in their fields. (Eg. A research scientist speaking to a group of doctors.) 4-Inspirational speaker: Someone who speaks on an emotional topic. Their story is inspiring, perhaps about having overcome adversity. (Eg. Fitness speakers) 5-Motivational speaker: All of the above.
