What could be causing your computer to not detect USB drives?

1 Faulty Ports

USB ports are the physical interfaces that allow USB drives to connect to your computer. If these ports are damaged, dirty, or have loose connections, they may not function correctly. To check if the problem lies with the USB port, try plugging your USB drive into a different port on the same computer or another computer entirely. 3 Power Supply
