I would like to differentiate this in to two , one , New Product with same mode of operation & New product with different mode of operation . The product with same mode of operation, needs product based research , especially the market , the competitor , the current and previous years sales etc , here we will have our of strategy for improving the business . Where in the second category requires more ground work, in this we have to be more vigilant about the promoting strategies existing in the brand , and also the competitor ,and work on the strategic part in promoting.
