Given my education and experience in petroleum engineering, I know that as a petrophysicist, you are heavily involved in rock studies, the fluids contained therein (oil, water and gas) as well as understanding rock dynamics and making optimal decisions gleaned from these insights. As a petrophysicist, you will be working with other experts including geologists who generally study subterranean formations leveraging seismic surveys and logs as well as reservoir engineers who seek ways to maximize recovery by leveraging on reservoir drive mechanisms. You should also be able build models and analyze data to predict and avert petrophysical production challenges including formation damage and sand production.
