In my experience, having Kanban's visual boards to show the tasks provide transparency to the organization. The visual aspect can identify dependencies, slowdowns and areas for improvement for the process. Kanban will also reduce overloading one with work and present more focus on the job at hand. Having a flexible and continuous flow in your working environment will reduce lead times. This along with communication and being focused on the customer.
