It is my personal experience and also one of the most dangerous things about H2S, that while it smells like rotten eggs, it quickly deadens the smelling sense (smell blindness or anosmia) therefore it is really necessary to detect it early. As human errors are always possible, portable detectors should be given to operators visiting such areas. Detectors should be properly calibrated. Eye irritation is an early symptom. All such easy detections should be clearly told in training. Practical field visits are always better in such training.

The trainees will be able to recognize and response to its hazards and preventing accidents and injuries. Also , enable trainees to identify the chemical in early stage. The industrial sector shall have regulatory requirements for the chemical safety training to comply with standards.
