For me, the best ways to promote renewable energies are divided into three factors. These reflect the formulas of innovation. On of them include, above all, the policy and regulation that provides the framework for the market ramp-up of emerging businesses. With political goals, the necessary subsidies and clearly structured procurement procedures, renewable energies can compete against conventional energy businesses. And that's what counts at the beginning. Creating incentives for new markets.

Promote renewable energy through policy support, public awareness, and investment incentives. Invest in R&D, upgrade grid infrastructure, and engage communities. Encourage net metering, energy efficiency, and corporate initiatives. Foster international cooperation, establish innovation hubs, and implement carbon pricing. Scale up utility and community solar, develop microgrids, and invest in energy storage solutions for a sustainable energy transition.

Policies and regulations can be the enablers to promote renewables. Renewables demand must be generated which is possible if the LCOE (levelized cost of energy is lowest and the payback period is short for installers). On the other hand, the supply should be ample, and proper incentivization and debottlenecking of industry will be the enablers. Policies and regulations can help achieve the above.

From my point of view the decentralization of our energy system cannot be compared to "the old world". With all the great features and decreasing risks, having a decentralized energy system makes communities and countries much more resilient - definitely something we should strive for.

Research is on to take efficiencies to over 30% with commercial viability. From my perspective, a fundamental strategy to boost renewable energy is allocating resources to innovation and research to enhance its performance and efficiency. This involves developing new renewable technologies such as offshore wind energy or floating solar energy, as well as improving existing technologies like storage and electricity distribution. Encouraging the implementation of smart grids and hybrid systems is essential to optimize the use of renewable resources.

For example, in my current organization of over 100 employees, none have solar panels on their roofs, despite being technically sound about renewable energy.

The private sector has found some effective work-arounds, with CAPEX funded PPA solutions. Governments should look at providing grants that remove the upfront cost barrier to entry for domestic customers.

All this needs to be targeted, to the industry involved and linked back to the education system where potential students interest may begin.

Energy-efficient practices, like using less electricity and optimizing heating and cooling lessen the energy burden making it easier to fulfill with renewables. These individual and community actions drive market demand encouraging utilities and governments to shift towards renewable energy sources, while also fostering a culture of sustainability that influences wider societal and policy changes.

While there are several measures that are required together to promote renewables such as - monetary & fiscal incentives, technology & infra support, creating awareness, ppp models etc.; in my opinion, the single most effective measure is to make it financially lucrative without impacting the experience through innovative & disruptive business models. Rest all shall fall in place… technology will overtime become cheaper, adoption would increase and so on…

By allowing individuals and businesses to partake in solar energy without the need for personal installations, these projects broaden access to clean energy.
