The career page on the company's website is crucial for the candidate's experience. It will be good to be mindful of keeping the page user-friendly including mobile optimization. The content on the page must be inspiring & include the higher purpose, culture, values, wins, growth opportunities, and EVP. The employee experience videos can also help. The application process must be simple and easy without complexities. Quick responses/acknowledgment is a must. The page must also have a feedback mechanism linked to all applicants. This will help with actionable points to improve the candidate experience.

By nature ... Recruiting through own company website ... is (and should be) the most trusted source from candidates point of view. So optimizing the company's website properly are very crucial How? 1. UPDATED Keep updating. When the opening are closed just remove them Not only the vacant position. But also other info such as ... activities, company's initiatives, BOD, products, services, CSR etc (This is the valid source of candidates to know the company right?)(not to mention employer branding as well) 2. Tracking System It will be beneficial for the candidates who apply to track information i.e how many days left? how many applicant apply? etc) 3. Reliability and security. If these two failed ... it will be a boomerang for the company.

To me the most important parts are: - make it super easy to apply…name, number, email, CV….all the other fluff is just useless information in todays day and age…our candidates want it simple & quick….if things move forward you will have plenty of time for the minutia….it speed to candidate time! - ensure that the person initially reviewing the profiles is a top pro….usually you have entry or mid level colleagues reviewing which are not experienced enough to dissect a CV or they have been properly advised what one is looking for.

The Career page is to be catchy and simple so that every volunteer can easily understand the content and be able to use it easily. Job contents are to be limited without much descriptions. Overall one should be able to apply / access the site within 1 or 2 mins wheresoever they are at.

Few tips to simply the application process for candidates; - don't use Workday or any other platform that requires you to sign up to apply - don't use any ATS that requires the candidates to manually input information that already exists on their CV - Ensure your candidate journey is achievable within 4 clicks -> Jobs / Careers, Role, Apply (3 clicks there) - Make sure careers / jobs is at the top of your company site, not hidden down the bottom - Put your open roles above your people copy, not below it. No one wants to scroll 3/4 down a site to see open roles. They will skip all the info before it. - Give an email address, so you can give people the option to email and apply directly through that to the appropriate recruiter for the role

What will they do and what can they become? Make your career page interactive and easy to find (and apply) - don't bury it in a drop-down or at the bottom of the main webpage. Change 'we' language to 'you' language. It's more engaging for the candidate, particularly if you give them good reason to get in touch.

Look at your adverts around 70% of the clients I have worked with are using outdated practices to advertise roles believing that they are the best ways to showcase their opportunities.
