What are the best ways to onboard new users to Web3?

One of the best way to get new users onboard into web3 is by using more understandable terms than using web3 jargons. Its very important that the new users should feel safe while hearing about the technology.

I have been in Web3 education at University level since 2018. Back then we started with "blockchain based business models", and the course was still fairly technical. Later we moved to "Web3 business models" which covered the topic much better. The next iteration will be completely different, with a focus on Creator Economy 3.0. And in the same light you could focus on topics such as Supply Chain 3.0, the Industrial Revolution, Data driven business models 3.0 etc. My point is, it really helps by starting what people understand, especially non-tech people. They understand their problems, and if you understand their problems too you could explore solutions. Blockchain based, or not.

Education is key. Talking about the benefits and opportunities in the space and how they can be a part of it. Using testimonies espcially if they are personified

Nothing should be too complex. To onboard people, simplify it, and bring it home. Use easy-to-understand tools and lingo that is relateable

This is actually the first step. Web3 needs to be simple, easy to use, convenient, and safe to begin with onboard the masses. If the goal is to remove the technical and financial hurdles and provide a smooth and seamless Web3 experience, we have to build that first. The tech savy and interested people will then always go to statement #1 and educate themselves.

The use of browser extensions by hot wallets (Metamask or Phantom) has shown the ideal way to break through the commonly accepted psychological glass ceiling. This has shown that to move to a new, more ethical worldwide operating system, it is necessary to make compromises, at short term, in order to get the user where we want to orientate. Collaborating with Google's interface, even though it's notorious for not listening to its consumers when it comes to managing their data, reveals a state of the web where W2B is being transformed into Web 2.5. A pivotal transitionning point. Saddly, too much entrepreneurs act as if the futur was already in the present. That's one of the essential reasons of slow adoption.

Isn't that always the case on the Internet these days? Everywhere we go, people and users need guidance and support as the World Wide Web continues to grow. Web3 will make no difference here.

Just think of brand loyalty and engagement with Web3 tools ??. Or combine concepts of like Opepen, designed for any type of product development. There's so much ahead, it's so exciting!

Decentralized self-governance on the web is already an extremely well-developed experiment. What's essentially missing are virtual interfaces that can be used by everyone. Gamifying voting systems will be the key.

That's sort of the phase we're in right now, isn't it? Well, at least for the people who are still on Web3. The early adopters, the builders, and the explorers (excluding the flippers and traders of course). There are so many Web3 use cases being developed and tested right now, and you can see that when you look at the number of big brands and companies entering this space. From Nike, Siemens, Disney, Ubisoft, and and and - so many well-known brands are now getting in to explore the waters: to test, update, and iterate. And that won't stop anytime soon, or did it ever stop for the internet? Maybe rather quietly at the moment, but that will change, I'm very sure, or what do you think?

Renaming this step to : "Adapting to W2B users" would more appropriate. Entrepreneurs in W3B has the common mindset issue of thinking from Web3 approach, for fear of falling behind in innovation. On the other hand, a community, an audience and adoption are more beneficial to development than a technology used by a small number of "philanthropists".

Web3 es algo que vive en constante desarrollo y por ende en cambio, sumado a que al disrumpir algunos procesos, encontramos cambios por todos lados. Debemos estar preparados para afrontar estos desafios y con el norte siempre de que valor vamos a incorporar con estas tecnologias. Si la respuesta es que es lo mismo hacerlo con Web2 o Web3, recomiendo quedarse en Web2, ya que nos ahorraremos muchos dolores de cabeza. Ahora, si la implementación de la Web3 representa una mejora en la productividad por ejemplo, sin lugar a dudas debemos avanzar.

Web3 has been poisoned with bad actors. Rug pulls, MLM, NFT scams and the centralized frauds we all know of. This has considerably hurt the space, which is consequently much more focused on making money than actually adding value. So, we as the legit Web3 experts need to come together and do better. Agree on the ethical foundations that web3 projects are built upon (essentially giving back rights), live by them and promote those who we know do good. Even when they are competing. Last, know what value we bring to our users. Eventually creating non monetary value is what will make people stay.
