Start each day by figuring out what's most important. If you've got a big project due, that's your big rock. Smaller tasks like answering emails can wait... Set work hours for yourself, just like you would in a regular job. Trello or Asana are great for organizing projects. And a simple timer can keep you focused during work hours. Break them down big projects into smaller steps. Avoid Multitasking... It might feel like you're getting more done, but switching between tasks can actually slow you down. Try to focus on one thing at a time. Schedule Time for Learning and Growth... Keep some time aside each week to learn new things or work on personal projects. This keeps your skills sharp and can lead to new opportunities.

I recently experienced serious complications from health problems that went unchecked for too long. All days cannot be “above and beyond” days without creating a deficit wherein you’ll end up finding the only tasks you can cut are the ones that sustain and strengthen you. To be at your best consistently, don’t fall into the trap of just-this-once thinking that deviates from your schedule because the reason you created it in the first place was to allow time to also take care of yourself.

Adopt "deep work" sessions in your sharpest hours of the day to knock the big tasks off, and limit your distractions. Save the smaller/less creative tasks for later in the day.

You get your best work done when your mind is flowing, and you want to maximize your sessions in which you've got your flow going. Distractions take you out of your flow, and then you've got to find a way to get back in - and it's draining. Have blocks of your day when you allow for appropriate distractions (phone, emails), and blocks that are "untouchable".

Automating is a vague term - try chunking. Chunking together tasks that are similar in nature, and getting them done in bulk for periods of time. For example: - Getting posts done in advance - Answering emails in sessions 2x/day This allows you to separate your creative and non-creative tasks, to maximize both. The two don't mix well.

Don't overdo it. I've worked with 200+ tech companies, it's not necessary to treat yourself like a data management firm. Here's what I do recommend: pay attention to yourself and get to know what works best for you. It's that simple. I can elaborate but there's no need.
