What are the best ways to improve your listening skills in game development?

In a remote work environment, try setting up a Do Not Disturb app so you can't get distracted by other things popping-up. Additionally, it can help to put away your keyboard and mouse for a meeting, just to check how comfortable you are with not being able to check/look for other things. Don't put pressure, it's an exercise.

A great way of practicing listening I found is simply not talking. Go into a meeting with the sole purpose of taking notes, grab a pen & paper and simply write down the key points from that meeting. If your input is required and you feel confident, share it. Otherwise, ask if you can follow-up later via e-mail or direct messaging. Practicing this at least one a week will significantly improve your capacity for listening in the long-term.
